Professional development for MA fine and applied arts students
Abstract: The case study documents a three hour professional practice session with a group of new MA students. the session aimed to develop career management skills using a self-critical approach to identifying current skills, skills gaps and professional resources providers that could meet identified needs.
The learning and teaching approach includes self-evaluation, small and whole group working. This kind of approach could be adopted for use with student groups from level 2 upwards and also adapted for use in curriculum areas beyond fine and applied arts.
