The experience of enterprise education for art and design students 2007
The overall aim of this project is to capture the learning experiences of a group of Art & Design foundation degree students as they engage with Enterprise Education. This activity is run at Somerset College of Art & Technology (SCAT). The work will include:
- A description of the approach to Enterprise Education at SCAT including how these approaches were arrived at and significant influences on this development process
- The gathering of Art & Design students' perceptions of Enterprise Education
- Analysis of reflective structured stories related to the students' journey during the learning experience.
- A final report, conference/event and journal publications in the field of Enterprise Education and Creative Industries including those organised by the HEA and specific Subject Centres
The project aims to influence the design and delivery of Enterprise Education within University of Plymouth by acting as a catalyst for other colleges in the partnership to explore the introduction of Enterprise Education. Although small-scale this project has been designed to address this issue and begin, with others, the development of relevant evidence that could also influence the design and delivery of enterprise education for the creative and cultural industries.
Project duration: Jan 2007 - July 2007
