Create Sustain Ability, Annual Forum 2010, 14 May 2010

The ADM-HEA Annual Forum held at RIBA last Friday was attended by 100 people and overall the feedback received has been very positive. Thank you to all the presenters and of course to everyone who participated and made the day such a success. We shall be publishing the presentations and reports from the day on the website shortly and inform you when they are ready.

EQUIP - call for project proposals

UK HEIs are invited to submit project proposals for EQUIP by Wednesday, 30 June 2010.

EQUIP is a new programme from the Higher Education Academy that will help individual higher education institutions to identify, understand and resolve key issues affecting the quality and effectiveness of the student learning experience.

SEDA Journal: Innovations in Education and Teaching International

The journal concentrates mainly on papers and reviews concerned with a range of teaching and learning issues, from innovative teaching and learning strategies to developments in computer aided education and training.

ADM-HEA EVENTS

A Space for Assessment: Exploring assessment and feedback in practice and studio based learning environments
Kingston University
27 - 28 May 2010

Registration closes Thursday, 20 May, only a few places left.

The Art Design Media Subject Centre (ADM-HEA) and PALATINE, the Subject Centre for Dance, Drama and Music, are organising a symposium to explore assessment and feedback in practice and studio based work. This event is hosted by hosted by Kingston University.

Space for Assessment symposium will contribute to the current debates around assessment and aims to enhance further our understanding and practice of assessment and feedback through a number of facilitated discussion groups and presentations.

Free Xerte online Friday workshops

JISC TechDis run free Xerte workshops between 1 and 2 pm on the last Friday of each month. (Xerte is a free tool for creating accessible learning objects.) The next one is coming up on 28 May and will focus on ‘Effective use of images in Xerte’.
