Widening participation anthology

Request for information on widening participation, particularly projects relating to media and work that has been done in Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

Following the research into widening participation in Higher Education Art and Design carried out by the Council for Higher Education in Artand Design (CHEAD), the National Art Learning Network (NALN), the Arts Council England (ACE) and the ADM-HEA Subject Centre, a further publication has been commissioned with Dr Dipti Bhagat and Dr Peter O'Neill from London Metropolitan University as editors.

The primary aim of this is to anthologise Widening Participation research and other related work that might effectively be used to inform the development of practice, policy and research in the broad subject areas of Art, Design and Media. It is anticipated that this will be a rich and valuable resource for the support of learning and teaching in Art, Design and Media.

The editors are in the final stages of editing and collating all materials received so far. As they are keen to capture all relevant research, they are putting out a final request for contributions. In particular, they would be keen to hear about any project, research or work that specifically relates to media and also about work that has taken place in Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

All contributions to be received by 30 October 2010.
