Film, Fashion & Consumption Journal
Film, Fashion & Consumption is a new peer-reviewed journal designed to provide an arena for the discussion of research, methods and practice within and between the fields of film, fashion, design, history, art history and heritage. With Pamela Church Gibson as Editor, and an Editorial Team drawn from other experts in the field, this new journal seeks to stimulate ongoing research on these topics and to attract contributions not only from scholars researching in these areas but also from practitioners, who are traditionally excluded from academic debate. The journal thus aims to unite and enlarge a community of researchers and practitioners in film, fashion, consumption and related fields, whilst also introducing a wider audience to new work, particularly to interdisciplinary research which looks at the intersections between film, fashion and consumption.
They invite all interested scholars and practitioners (new and established scholars together with practitioners are welcome to submit papers) to contribute to Film, Fashion & Consumption, which will be published three times a year. Articles should be between 6,000 and 8,000 words in length excluding references, and should follow the Harvard referencing system, and be written in English, with all quotations translated.
Articles intended for the issue 1.2 should be submitted by 1 March 2011.
