RAISE Conference 2011: Engaging Students in Challenging Times

The organising committee for the inaugural Researching, Advancing & Inspiring Student Engagement (RAISE) Conference invite you to submit contributions to the conference. The overarching objective of the conference is to focus specifically on student engagement.
The conference aims to offer a forum and platform for research about, and evaluation of, student engagement. This includes research about the nature or other insights into engagement or evaluation of practices and initiatives that engage students and why they do so. They particularly welcome evidence gathered, or presented, by students.
The Main Theme is: Engaging students in challenging times.
The conference sub-themes are:
- Presenting conceptual models based on well founded research about student engagement
- Evaluation of student engagement initiatives at an institutional level
- Evaluation of curricular and extra-curricular developments to engage students in their learning
- Sharing evidence about student expectations, experiences and identity and their impact on engagement
Submissions may be in form of (see conference web-site for details):
- Papers (these will be considered for dissemination in a journal special issue)
- Workshops
- Symposia
- Posters
Contributions deadline for submission is 30 March. Presenters at the conference will gain a discounted rate to the conference fee.
