The New Media Innovations in Teaching and Learning - Inaugural Workshop will be held at the University of Hull, Scarborough Campus, on 2 June 2008

Call for Presentations

Submissions are now invited on any topic associated with the innovatory use of New Media in teaching and learning.  Contributions in the following thematic areas will be particularly welcome.

  • Innovatory Learning Technologies
  • Web 2.0 Learning Scenarios
  • Student Perspectives on Innovatory New Media Practice
  • Teaching within New Media Environments
  • Implications of New Media and its use in Learning and Teaching environments


This inaugural workshop will provide practitioners with the opportunity to explore how New Media is being used in a variety of different teaching and learning contexts to resolve problems, enhance learning, improve student motivation etc…  This forum will provide a place to share good practice, question new approaches, describe innovations and discuss topics of current interest related to the usage of new media in teaching and learning practice.  The workshop will feature two keynote presentations and a range of teaching and learning practice based session presentations.
