Visual Methods Symposium

This symposium is aimed at visual researchers al all levels who want to gain a deeper understanding of visual methods. The programme will build on Level One by emphasizing grounded visual methods and techniques within a rigorous visual methodology to explore substantive research questions.
The symposium features discussions and presentations including:
- Image technologies in the field – Perspectives from visual anthropology: Prof Marcus Banks
- An ethics of recognition? Questioning assumptions about issues of ethics and anonymity: Dr Paul Sweetman
- There’s digital and then there’s digital – Visual methods using the hands,and with Web 2.0: Prof David Gauntlett
- Participatory visual methods: Dr Jon Prosser
There is a small charge for attending this symposium (£16) to cover refreshments and lunch.
