International Entrepreneurship Educators Conference (IEEC) 2008
- Location:
- Canary Wharf, London
- Date(s):
- 8 September 2008 18:00 - 10 September 2008 16:00
For IEEC 2008, Enterprise Educators UK (EEUK, formerly UKSEC) and the National Council for Graduate Entrepreneurship will jointly deliver a rich international line-up of speakers, and an even greater opportunity for delegate participation through poster sessions and a live competition.
From
Russia to Nepal , South Africa to
Estonia , China to the USA , delegates have registered to hear
representatives from different continents report on their work. There will be
reports on the NCGE’s first International Entrepreneurship Educators Programme,
views from China and Indonesia , the UK Launch of the China-UK
Entrepreneurship Educators Network, and an update on British UK-China
projects.
Other IEEC speakers will present perspectives on Finnish
Government backed ‘Entrepreneurial Universities‘, the ‘Kauffman Campus’
initiatives in the United States, and alternative approaches from Denmark, and
IEEC 2008 will launch the Final Report of the NESTA/NCGE/CIHE Project
‘Developing Entrepreneurial Graduates’.
IEEC 2008 will examine whether entrepreneurship
education is ‘fit for the future’. It’s your chance to have your say and
influence its development. A
table of workshops has now been posted on www.ieec.co.uk. These will be led by
entrepreneurship educators from universities around the UK as well as from Europe and North America .
An evening hosted by the NCGE’s Flying Start Global
Entrepreneurs – many of the most talented rising stars of graduate
entrepreneurship – will launch IEEC 2008 on the evening of Monday 8th September.
Then over two full Conference days, Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th September,
Enterprise Educators UK (EEUK) and the National Council for Graduate
Entrepreneurship (NCGE) will deliver top international speakers, a Gala Dinner,
delegate participation through workshops, posters, games, and a live
competition.
This year’s third annual International Entrepreneurship
Educators Conference builds on the success of the conferences in York in 2006 and Cambridge in 2007. Both brought together many of the
world’s leading educators and practitioners to share best practice and explore
the latest developments in entrepreneurship education.
Remember that members of EEUK are entitled to a
substantial discount, and there are also some discounted conference places
available for those currently on the International Entrepreneurship Educators
Programme (IEEP).
