Improving Assessment and Feedback in a Technology-Enhance Teaching and Learning Environment: Theory and Practice
- Location:
- Kingston University, Penrhyn Road Campus
- Date(s):
- 19 May 2010 00:00
This Seminar is part of the Assessment and Feedback strand for the
Evidence-based Practice Seminar Series 2010, organised in collaboration with Kingston University and De Montfort University.
This seminar focuses on how recent technology enhanced learning approaches, along with personal and mobile technological developments, have impacted on assessment and feedback practices in Higher Education. In particular, approaches will be considered that extend assessment and feedback beyond the implementation of primarily objective question based assessment engines, including the application of mobile and personal technologies, peer assessment, collaborative and reflective environments and classroom technologies.
The event will include findings from the HEA Pathfinder ‘Rapid Reaction and Response’ project and those emerging from the JISC funded ‘Mobilising Remote Student Engagement’ (MoRSE) project. Workshop sessions will consider the practical implications of these approaches and examine specific assessment and feedback scenarios.
