HE lecturers researching HE issues

An opportunity for staff in HEIs with responsibility for leading, promoting and developing HE research to debate issues and share practice

The status of HE lecturers’ practitioner research (including pedagogic research) has risen in recent years. A number of HEIs have invested in forms of support for lecturers wishing to investigate (for example) pedagogic practice and student learning. However, it has to be acknowledged that providing effective support for lecturers researching HE issues is not easy. Staff responsible for leading such research have few opportunities to benefit from supportive discussions with colleagues in similar roles in other institutions. The purpose of this event is to bring together staff in HEIs who have either formal or de facto responsibility for leading, promoting and developing HE/pedagogic research in their institutions.
