The
SP-ARK project is a web-based open source educational project based on the
multi-media archive of film-maker SALLY POTTER. The prototype is now in
development with Goldsmith's University, London, and SP-ARK are seeking further
partnerships with distinguished film and media departments in the UK. We are
looking for innovative programs and educators interested in trialing a pilot
version of SP-ARK in the classroom, or in developing associated research
projects.
Dr. Sophie Mayer, SP-ARK's Education Consultant, will offer a detailed look at the SP-ARK interface, and discuss the project's potential applications at St. Andrew's in innovative teaching and research within and across disciplines at every level. Presenting evidence from a pilot workshop with Goldsmith's MA students, Dr. Mayer will show how SP-ARK is tailored to, and by, the radically new learning preferences of students everywhere.
Dr Mayer's will conduct a 45 min presentation, followed by a Q&A session.
