- Date(s):
- 28 June 2010 10:00-15:00
Part of The Higher Education Academy Research Seminar Series 2010: Access and Success for All.
This seminar will enable participants to reflect on their own experience of
inclusive (and exclusive) learning and teaching practice in higher education. It
will share a critical reflection on the experience of the University of
Sheffield’s Inclusive Learning and Teaching Project which has as its premise the
desire to ‘create a University of Sheffield learning culture which enables all
our students, from whatever background, to achieve their full potential.’
The
seminar will stimulate discussion around the Project’s central strands:-
-
Student engagement and the student voice;
-
Inclusive practices: removing barriers to learning;
-
Embedding inclusive learning at institutional level.
The seminar will also provide participants with ideas and suggestions to
help them explore how they might adapt their own practice to remove barriers to
learning.
